⬤ 01. BACKGROUND
Custom work that photographs well but wasn't getting found
The client builds media walls, accent walls, and decorative ceilings for homes across Sarasota, Bradenton, and Lakewood Ranch. The work is high-end: 3D renders before cutting a single board, humidity-rated materials, no subcontractors. One crew from measurement to final paint.
The portfolio was strong. Dozens of finished projects, before and after photos, happy clients with 4.9 stars on Google. What was missing: a website that matched the quality of the work and actually showed up when someone searched for it.
⬤ 02. WHAT WE WERE SOLVING
Most contractor websites look like they were built by contractors
Custom wall builders compete with general contractors, handymen, and DIY influencers on Pinterest. The difference in quality is obvious in person. Online, it’s invisible if the website looks like every other contractor template with stock photos and a “Request a Quote” button.
The business needed a site that did two things at once: looked premium enough to justify $5,000-$12,000 project pricing, and ranked locally for the searches that bring in jobs. Two-week deadline.

Brushed Gold
The palette comes from the materials. Olive green from the dark sections references painted MDF and finished millwork. Warm linen keeps the portfolio pages neutral so the project photography stays in focus.
Brushed gold handles accents, hover states, and the Google review badge. It reads premium without being flashy. Charcoal anchors text and the footer. No blue, no teal, nothing that looks like a tech company built this.

Branding, design, and development in a sprint
Brand identity
We developed the visual language from scratch. Dark olive and warm neutrals, a palette that feels residential and high-end without looking generic. Custom badges, material photography, consistent type. The brand had to look as good as the work itself.
Interactive design
This isn’t a brochure site. Service cards expand with hover states showing project photos. The style selector lets visitors browse Modern, Transitional, and Coastal wall styles with filtered galleries. Before/after sliders show the transformation on actual client projects. They keep people browsing longer and show the work how it actually looks in a room.
WordPress development
Custom theme, no page builder dependencies. The client can add new projects, update the gallery, and publish blog posts without calling us. Custom post types for projects with category filtering (media walls, accent walls, ceilings, fireplaces). Mobile-first responsive design tested on real devices.
Site architecture for SEO
The key service pages, each targeting a different set of keywords. Every page has its own keyword focus, its own project photos, and its own pricing context. A homeowner searching “custom media wall Sarasota” lands on a page that shows exactly that, with photos from Sarasota homes.
Local SEO optimization
Google Business Profile set up and optimized. Service areas mapped to Sarasota, Bradenton, Lakewood Ranch, and St. Petersburg. Geo-anchors through every page, tied to real neighborhoods and project locations.
LLM optimization
FAQ blocks structured for featured snippets and AI Overviews. When someone asks Google or ChatGPT “how much does a custom media wall cost in Sarasota,” the answer can come from this site.
Why being local matters for your website
14 days From first conversation to live site
Dedicated service pages, each with unique keyword targets
Project photos integrated across the site from real Sarasota builds
Within a week it was indexed and ranking for local queries the old site never touched.
The visual quality matches the work. A homeowner browsing media wall ideas sees finished projects from homes in their area, not stock renders from a template library. That’s what converts a browser into a phone call.
